Our Classes

Learn from our industry trained chefs how to make some patisserie favorites!

The Introduction to Patisserie series is a morning course that will cover 3 staples of the patisserie world that you can replicate at home! 

We have a range of different menus and dishes available that use quite different patisserie techniques.

This 2 part class will see you make Sourdough, Croissants & Danish Pastries from scratch.

The class is spread over 2 sessions (Sunday morning and Monday evening) to ensure the full process is complete.

26th & 27th October 2021

The full process includes:

  • Making the dough
  • Rolling & Folding
  • Sheeting
  • Shaping
  • Glazing
  • Baking
  • Proofing
  • Filling

Both sessions are compulsory for this class & will be approximately 3:30/4 hours in duration.

Sunday from 9:00am - 1:00pm & Monday from 5:00pm -9pm

Front Cooking School are culinary experts specialising in Cookery and Patisserie.

Our Brisbane campus opened in March 2020 &  is located at 225 St Pauls Terrace,  Fortitude Valley, 4006. We have state of the art facilities including a 16 workstation kitchen, to replicate a commercial setting for our students.

Our Weekend Classes are designed to give you a tailered training, whether you are working in the industry, looking at retraining or a home cook looking to improve your skills for at home, we have you covered.


We will be providing all equipment for the classes, including aprons, piping kits, knives & anything else required. Please do bring a large plastic container to take home your tasty treats.

Please wear sensible non slip footwear as your safety is paramount to us.

We will be following local government advice for the running of our classes.

In the event of the event being postponed due to anything such as Lockdowns or increased restrictions then all students will be entitled to a full refund or transfer to a future class.

Who are our team?

Alex is the Senior Trainer of Hospitality at our Brisbane campus & brings a wealth of knowledge & experience across all sections in the kitchen. Alex trained as a chef in a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Paris & 1 Michelin star restaurant in Rome. Alex has worked for a number of restaurants across Australia and counts Julia Gillard and Jean Claude Van Damme as famous faces he's cooked for.

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge from the hospitality sector. Specialising in front of house operations. Andrew has worked for large scale food and beverage outlets including Crown Casinos. Andrew is our Campus Manager in Brisbane and oversees the smooth running of our operation.
